100 Côte d’Azur L’hôtel Martinez récompensé pour ses engagements RSE The Martinez awarded for its CSR commitments Situé sur le mythique boulevard de la Croisette, l’Hôtel Martinez s’est engagé depuis de nombreuses années dans une démarche de RSE (Responsabilité sociétale des entreprises). Un engagement qui a été décerné par le Trophée RSE PACA, qui chaque année ré- compense une entreprise de la région PACA pour son implication humaine, sociétale et environnementale. En 2017/18, pendant les 18 mois de travaux de rénovation, l’hôtel cinq étoiles n’a pas uni- quement fait peau neuve mais s’est également efforcé d’apporter de nombreuses améliorations techniques pour maîtriser et réduire l’impact environnemental de son fonctionnement, notamment en termes de consommations d’eau et d’énergie. En 2010, l’établisse- ment avait déjà été le premier hôtel en France à obtenir la certifi- cation Green Globe pour ses actions en faveur de l’environnement telles le tri des dé- chets, l’incitation de son personnel à utili- ser le covoiturage, les transports en com- mun ou le vélo. Sur le plan social, sa po- litique de Ressources Humaines s’attache à l’égalité hommes/ femmes (50,3 % de femmes dont 47,5 % dans l’encadrement), au bien-être des sala- riés avec des postes et des conditions de travail adaptés ainsi qu’à l’accompagne- me n t d e s e s em- ployés tout au long de leurs parcours professionnels en va- lidant leurs acquis. L’engagement social de l’établissement trouve son prolongement dans le soutien d’associations : depuis 2011, auprès de l’association cannoise environnementale «Méditerra- née 2000», ou encore lors de la vente aux d’enchères d’une partie de son mobilier, dont les bénéfices ont été reversés aux associa- tions d’aide sociale à l’enfance « Le Rayon de Soleil de Cannes » (79.000€) et « Sourire et Partage » (12.000€). L’établissement hôtelier apporte également son aide au Samu Social de Cannes et à la Croix Rouge en donnant des couvertures, des produits d’hy- giène, du mobilier, en préparant des repas et en collectant des vêtements. Un état d’esprit que les employés poursuivent pendant leur temps libre : en 2017, le personnel a effectué 447 heures de bénévolat en faveur d’associations locales. Located on the legendary boulevard of the Croisette, Hotel Martinez has been engaged in a CSR process (Corporate Social Responsibility) for many years. This commitment was awarded by the CSR PACA Trophy, which each year rewards a company in the PACA region for its human, societal and environmental dedication. In 2017/2018, during the 18 months of renovation work, the five star hotel not only gave itself a new look, but made a concerted effort to make many technical improvements that would control and reduce the impact on the environment of its operating, mainly with regard to water and energy consumption. In 2010 the establishment was already the first hotel in France to receive the Green Globe certification for its environmental actions, such as waste sorting and incentives to assist the personnel with car pooling, public transport or cycling. On the social level, its Human Resources policy focuses on gender equality (50.3% of women, of whom 47.5% are in management), and seeing to the well being of employees with appropriate positions and working conditions, as well as giving employees support during their professional careers, while validating their achievements. The social commitment is extended by supporting Associations: with the Cannes Environmental Association “Mediterranean 2000” since 2011, or during the auction sale of part of the furniture, the profits of which were donated to the child welfare associations “Le Rayon de Soleil de Cannes” ( € 79,000) and “Sourire et Partage” (Smile and Share) ( € 12,000). The hotel also helps the Samu Social de Cannes and the Red Cross by giving blankets, hygiene products, furniture, preparing meals and collecting clothing. It is a mindset that the employees pursue in their free time: in 2017 the staff put in 447 volunteer hours for local associations.
